When was the last time a US Embassy was attacked and our ambassador to the country murdered?

mmmmmmmmmm.... oh yes, that would during the Carter years. GO FIGURE!

Christopher Stevens, the U.S. ambassador to Libya, was killed on Tuesday after the diplomat’s car was targeted in the eastern city of Benghazi by protesters blaming America for a film that they said insulted the Prophet Mohammad. Stevens was the first sitting U.S. ambassador to be killed in office since 1979.

We now know that it had nothing to do with the movie. It was a planned 911 attack.

Isn't it funny how these people keep doing the same things, expecting different results?

It will be less blatent until then otherwise.
No denying Carney though.

Why is this either Hillary or Obama's fault given that for the last two years house republicans have been cutting funding for security at embassies?

Quote:
Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) acknowledged on Wednesday that House Republicans had consciously voted to reduce the funds allocated to the State Department for embassy security since winning the majority in 2010.

On Wednesday morning, CNN anchor Soledad O'Brien asked the Utah Republican if he had "voted to cut the funding for embassy security."

"Absolutely," Chaffetz said. "Look we have to make priorities and choices in this country. We have…15,000 contractors in Iraq. We have more than 6,000 contractors, a private army there, for President Obama, in Baghdad. And we’re talking about can we get two dozen or so people into Libya to help protect our forces. When you’re in tough economic times, you have to make difficult choices. You have to prioritize things.”

Right. Paul Ryan voted to cut those funds as Vice President Biden so aptly pointed out last night.

State Dept’s Charlene Lamb, asked if budget cuts had anything to do with security decisions, said “No, sir.”

More Dems voted for this that Republicans.s DEMS 149, REPUBS 147.

Your post is most misleading and false as it relates to the Libya attack.
This has been repeastedly shown on City-Data and even has a couple of different threads on this very subject alone so this false claim would cease.

So why don't you think Charlene Lamb is going to be asked to resign? She seemed to be the one who refused to allow more security. Do you think it's her routine to take every request for more security to Clinton, or has she been delegated that responsibility? If she didn't bring this to Clinton's attention, how could Clinton have known?

Exactly. Actually next to the Clintons, Obama looks like a pretty good guy.

IF she is being thrown under the bus she can always call Ollie North for advice on how to cope with it.
