Don't answer that. It's called a "rhetorical question".

And while my life hardly has anything to do with your example, the fact that you'd consider insulting someone for (allegedly) being poor and born into an illegal family is disgusting.

Do you have anything that's not Sci-Fi?
The post you did not like was rhetorical in itself but it took you off the deep end quickly.
Yet your rhetoric is thought to be beyond reproach in your mind.
There's a lot more to what you are attempting to say that you leave out and do not include or consider.

I honestly don't know. People harden their hearts. In the west, prosperity may have something to do with it.

These Conservative values such as abstinance, sex only when you are married, marriage is forever are simply incompatible with the society we live in. For example: Divorce rates nowadays in the USA are higher than 50%.

In countries like Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, unmarried couples are much more common and they seem to stay together longer than married American couples.

In my opinion, marriage in the traditional sense is totally incompatible with the society we live in today, yet so many people believe in this failing institution, because some book written 2000 years ago tells you that this what you should do. Start thinking for yourselves!

Those same traditional values tell women to stay in the kitchen and blacks to stay away from whites. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Like how traditional marriage arranges 14 year old girls to be married off to 40 year old men, and are expected to obey their husbands' every word, including sexual advances?

Thank you for admitting that your "traditional values" are based on anachronistic conditions before modern medicine.

You like statistics. How about how teen pregnancy is on the rise and it has nothing to do with marriage today or 40 year old men. Is that new social traditional values or a social trend?

Or, is that people repopulating in spite of any value of any kind, but just a need to survive? If people don't reproduce people will cease to exist. Gone are the days of traditional marriage with nine children and the man is the head of the house.

Speaking as a woman though, imho, men did it to themselves by being stupid.

Well, most people realize that some State official don't want their public to vote, but I think the Country still believes all Americans should have that Right. So, local Govts should not be the only authority and certainly not the primary authority. The Federal level needs to be involved, I am pretty sure we had a big War about that already.

The states reserved their rights to govern independently of the fed. Taking that away only brings in additional slavery to the U.S. Fed dollars and more money taken out of our wallet, even before we earn it. The fed government is big enough and you want to make it bigger? Apparently you don't need your pay check. Let me give you an address that you can send it to.

I don't see where I said make the Fed Govt bigger. States have the authority to govern their State, not to take away Constitutional rights or Federally guaranteed rights. The Federal Laws supersede, in cases where they conflict with State Laws, according to the Constitution.
