Was talking with a laborer at work the other day while in a truck and he was shocked that I have never been robbed. He is only 21 and has been robbed twice.
Worst thing ( and only ) that ever happened to me is like a fool I left a canoe down at the river unlocked and it walked away.

Of course.
The probabilities at 56 of not being one at some time are slim indeed.

Yes, I have been the victim of property crime (in Europe) and of assault (in the US).

Yes.

Assault. Crazy student in 10th grade. He eventually killed someone and was sentenced to death.

Robbery. At gunpoint. Never caught.

Burglary. The cop taking the report never even got out of his squad car. Yawned all through my verbal report to him.

Theft. Tools stolen from my job. Detective never came to take my report. I found my tools being sold at a flea market. Called but got no response from the detective again. (not a pair of pliers and a screwdriver, this was $25k of diesel mechanic tools).

Identity theft. Went to bank to deposit a large check and the counter help asked 'Which account under your name do you want this amount credited to?' Say what? The bank manager was skimming by creating sub accounts and stole over $2 million before getting caught - is now in prison!

No one is immune to crime.

Its been my experience that liberals after they become victims of crime have a tendency to become more conservative. That is the liberals who live in suburban all white communities.

I was broken into during college. It took years before I felt safe in my own home again.
