It seems to me in the rush to politize the attack on the Benghazi consulate and the subsequent death of Ambassador Stevens there is a fundamental question that I would like to know the answer to. If the issue was indeed security then why was the Ambassador even allowed to travel to an unstaffed and interim consulate office in Benghazi instead of staying at the guarded Embassy in Tripoli?
Ahhhhh...the latest Democratic Talking Point is BLAME THE VICTIM!!
Ambassador Stevens didn't suffocate in the safe room. He was sodomized with a knife, beaten, etc. This wasn't a peaceful death.
The safe room suffocation was one of the first lies told by the Obama administration, along with the claim that brave Lybians tried to rush him to the hospital. Turned out that was all BS, and those "brave Lybians" were his killers not helpers. The administration stopped telling that story pretty quickly.
I just scowered the web, and I can't find a single statement about what you just said. You understand modern forensics right? How they can find smoke and ash residue in the lungs to determine death by smoke inhalation?
I don't know what all happened to his body AFTER he died, my understanding is it was unharmed, but he died from smoke inhalation. I think that was an awful security mistake, as a safe room should have had an alternative oxygen source.

We will never know the real details of this incident.
Allowed? Who's going to stop him? He was the local Commander in Chief, and he traveled because he, like everyone else, knew nothing about the upcoming attack. They only knew there were "security issues", which was pretty much a status quo in a country which just went through a civil war.
It's too bad that instead of coming together to resolve issues, the Republicans use this to score cheap political points and to divide people even further. It's sad.
That part I placed in bold letters, is what blows me away. Libya was not just any country, we destroyed it last year. We killed their president, dismantled their military and their government. And apparently, even though Obama sent Stevens to Libya, he was never concerned enough about Libya to ask about security there, or he did ask and was freaking lied to. Someone, or some people were dangerously incompetent here, and I want to know who and why.
A very high percentage of the captured terrorists fighting against us in Iraq were from Libya. So it was never a safe place for Americans, and anyone foolish enough to think it ever was is a moron.
Where did you read that? The discussion is about whether or not there is ANY reliable source which supports that information. Do you have a reliable source, or can you have someone dig up a reliable source?
Link? 5 people, including right wing folks have asked for that in this thread. Just because you and others say you have read it, doesn't mean it exists.
I'm not from Missouri, but I've spent enough time there to say "Show me"

Hell I'd settle for a some what unreliable source with references. Not just two posters on a forum who said they saw it.
