How does this have a gay agenda, this is crazy.

On Oct. 30, students will be asked to sit with someone they don't know at lunch.

A Christian group is attacking an anti-bullying effort that encourages kids to make new friends, claiming there’s a sinful, secret “gay agenda.”
The American Family Association took issue with the annual “Mix It Up at Lunch Day,” part of a national campaign by Teaching Tolerance, a Southern Poverty Law Center program. On October 30, students across the country will be asked to sit with people they don’t normally eat lunch with — a practice in diversity and a way to get to know other kids, according to the organization

Someone from American Families was interviewed on MSNBC, he claimed Hitler recruited gays as storm troopers. Where do they get these people?

"CNN anchor Carol Costello must have known what she was in for when she interviewed Bryan Fischer, a spokesman for the virulently anti-gay American Family Association — she actually opens the talk with quotes from Fischer's 2010 "radio webcast" in which he said that "Hilter recruited homosexuals to make up his stormtroopers ... Hilter discovered he could not get straight soldiers to be savage and brutal and vicious enough." But then Fischer had to push Costello even further, by linking "homosexuals" to "health risks." That's when Costello ends the interview. We're not thinking the AFA is going to be invited back anytime soon. [

They're paranoid, plain and simple... they also HATE that their ways are becoming passe, and will be stomping their feet like babies over it for a while. Hope they'll get tired eventually, like babies often do after a temper tantrum, and leave the rest of us alone. I mean, how DARE the school encourage kids to make new friends?? I'm so faux outraged right now, I could scream.

When I was a new (and mid-year) transfer in elementary school, the teacher encouraged me to join a girl eating alone at lunch. She was a disabled (severe learning disability) girl at a school for gifted children, only admitted because her mother was a teacher there... and thus, she really hadn't been making friends very easily. I said "sure," and from that day on we were inseparable buddies. What a tragedy, huh?

Fundies can't cope with people who are different to them. Even other fundies from slightly different sects.
