Massachusetts' economy only grew by 1.1 percent during Romney's time in office (I was living in Mass for part of his governorship). The national economy grew by 5 percent. Why did his economic policies fail?

I think this has already been covered. If I remember correctly, they had a population decline during that time.

Mass is one of the most notoriously liberal states in the nation. Those policies stifle the economy...no matter who is governor.

The northeastern states are growing either slowly or not at all. Most of the new growth in the US is in the south or the west, certainly not the old northeast or the rust belt lower midwest. Nobody would be able to make Massachusetts grow even close to as fast as North Carolina, Texas, or Nevada.

Can you be more specific please. For instance, if the MA's had a low unemployment rate, it would be hard to decrease it more than a state that had a high unemployment rate. I live in NC and our unemployment rate is higher than the national average. We will be getting a new Gov and no matter who wins, they will have a good chance at looking good because the number has a lot of room to improve greatly.

So, Romney and his campaign shouldn't be running around naked, claiming that he did great things for the economy as the governor. If we must respect his record of what we're asked to consider great work, we must consider where his record stood?

Hence why Romney/Ryan will be losing the 4 states they've represented most: Michigan, Massachusetts, California and Wisconsin.

Clinton won Arkansas' electoral votes because he was a great governor. Romney was not popular and will get destroyed in MA. The only state that Romney will win that he has a significant connection to is Utah, and that's solely because he's a Mormon.

Romney caused a lot of pain for Massachusettsans. That's why he didn't run for a second term. And that's why he's losing to Obama so badly there.

Oooh, our resident "libertarian" chimes in with another post attempting to get Obama re-elected. You DNC operatives are pretty funny. Too bad Obama isn't as transparent as you are.
