Unfortunately, the other option is far far worse. Had you guys actually put a decent Republican candidate up against Obama, I might be more inclined to cross party lines. But you didn't. I will not vote for a religious nut job who calls half the country worthless, thinks women should be barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen, wants to ban gays from ever getting married, whines about poor people not paying taxes, while he pays less taxes on hundreds of millions of dollars than poor people pay on 20 thousand, and who wants to start a war with Iran.

We as a nation have become too dependant on the government for everything. Bailing out private businesses is part of a Communist agenda. Within Communism, as the government is grown, the more money and control is cycled through industries. Communists have the belief that the government should be relied on for everything, including businesses and jobs, by the people. Having these private businesses rely and owe the government goes perfectly with trying to increase Communism in America. I am assuming that you are thinking that since obama invested in private corporations, it proves that he is a Capitalist. Not true because he wants the government to keep these companies running. And it is not working because he is trying to destroy a free market in America. The reason that Communist China is doing so well is because they are taking on more of the Capitalist ideals of American business. I wish obama would too.

There hasn't been a free market in America in a very long time. Free markets are like pure communism, they are fairytales that do not exist. Free markets don't exist because as quickly as they come into existence, whomever controls capital then uses coercion to advance their own interests. Governments make laws to prevent such coercion from happening, thus preventing monopolies. Pure communism doesn't exist because as quickly as it comes into existence, whomever controls the capital in those systems, be it labor capital, or financial capital, or mental capital, then uses coercion to advance their own interests.
Communist China has only ever embraced the thought of communism, not the practice of communism. Government simply has more power to intercede in China. But they derive their power from the people of China. The degree that the government seeks to control information and ideas in China proves that.

Of course not, there has always been regulation, and there needs to be, but the question is how much?
BTW, I voted for Obama in 2008, but Obama has done too much in the last 3 years to really turn me off. He has failed as a president.
