he cant answer that question in a debate, even though he HAS answered it in the past when he said he wanted $5.00 per gallon of gasoline, he just didnt want it as fast as it happened in 2008.
Obama told us that we were not getting 'low wage' jobs back to this country. Only high wage jobs. So, I guess that means gas prices can just go up and up because, well, we'll be paying our part-time McDonald's employees $25/hr so they can afford the rising gas prices.
I'm going out to run an errand I could of done an hour ago on my way home, but I didn't feel like it ,then I'm going to stop at the store ,I could of done this also and saved gas . Maybe if I was British I wouldn't be so careless with my gasoline usage.
This is why the president couldn't answer the question. No gas is never really going to go down, it always goes up and consumers are a primary source of the problem, did I mention I bought a vehicle that only gets about 17 mile per gallon on the highway, I don't like small cars.
A presidents policies can have a direct bearing on gas prices. They can raise or lower (yeah, right!) taxes, restrict imports, restrict building refineries or drilling. A president can easily have a huge impact on the price of gas.
I dont think there were many questions he actually answered. He dodge almost all of them. He also let Romney tear him apart on Energy and his record because he has nothing to use as a defense except deflect and attack Romney.
Do I really need to go and quote every republican in office saying that the president doesn't control gas prices from 2006 to 2008?
Free market, president doesn't change gas prices, good or bad. And yes, while demand is high, this is normal.
