I haven't seen a lot of threads stating that the President will definitely win either.

Certain precedences apply to incumbent presidents seeking a second term.

Since FDR, no sitting president has won a second term with unemployment over 7.2% (Reagan, 1984).

No modern president has been reelected with a Gallup job approval rating below 52% (Bush, 2004).

No one has won a second term with the inflation adjusted price of gasoline exceeding $2.65/gallon (Reagan, 1984).

It's no coincidence that Romney is on the rise.

Obama already has three strikes against him and cannot win.

Today Gallup has Romney winning the popular vote by six points.

The election is effectively over.
