Isn't that the point, that something is "AMERICAN MADE"? I guess as long as an American puts the box on the shelf and the store is in America, that is American made for your purposes. So as long as people aren't actually physically buying their stuff in China it's all good.
I just checked out billys(?) American made clothing. His prices give me an idea just how high we would have to set the tariffs to give American domestic produces a fair chance at competing with Chinese slave shops.
