Here's a video from Crowley herself stating she DID NOT back down from her fact, despite what the right wing propaganda machine is lying to make her out that she did
“This morning, Paul Ryan, who has been making the rounds on the morning shows, says, ‘Well, she’s already backtracked,’” CNN host Soledad O’Brien pointed out to Crowley on Wednesday morning. “Are you backtracking on what you said in that fact check last night?”
“Goodness, I hope they get back to one another,” Crowley replied, adding that her comments following the debate were “exactly the same” as the original fact check. “He did say ‘acts of terror,’ call it an act of terror, but, Gov. Romney, you are perfectly right that it took weeks for them to get past the tape.”
“Not a backtrack?” O’Brien wondered.
“No!” Crowley said
That's the right wing philosophy. If the lie doesn't work, make up even more lies.

Her words. She diluted the argument. We ALL know what the argument was, it was the fact that Obama was blaming the video and didn't get passed that for a couple of weeks. Wordsmithing isn't cutting it here. She also introduced fog into the debate and the REAL question never got answered.

That's an edited video spread by the radical right wing Breitfart site.
The fail is so epic on the right winger's part, words can't describe it.
Did you watch the video i posted where Candy responded to all the lies right wingers are spreading?
The highlight of tonight's debate and the most talked about point is when Obama made the statement "The day after the attack, governor, I stood in the Rose Garden and I told the American people in the world that we are going to find out exactly what happened -- that this was an act of terror -- and I also said that we're going to hunt down those who committed this crime."
Afterwards, Willard rebutted with one of the top right wing propaganda lies that's been making the rounds that Obama didn't state until weeks later that it was a terror attack.
Once the moderator confirmed that Obama, in fact did state it was a terror attack, Obama then said to the extent for her to say it again and a louder, which was a grand slam rubbing Willard's face in a pile of dog crap.
While the democrats were high-fiving each-other, the right wing propaganda machine went ballistic, continuing to spread the lie into insanity mode and attacking the moderator with horrific and nasty comments.
In the end, Candy was 100% correct, Obama did, in fact, state it was a terror attack on the first day.

She's playing with semantics over the usage of a single word. She herself was on CNN saying that the administration hasn't called Benghazi a planned terrorist attack. She got caught trying to defend Obama over semantics and she is trying to save face. If you want to also play the semantics game, she is right over the usage of the word, but the overall argument was WHY they were blaming a video for so long and she knows that's the truth.
“Listen, what I said on that stage is the same thing I said to you actually last night,” she told Soledad O’Brian. “[W]e got hung up on this ‘yes he said,’ ‘no I didn’t,’ ‘I said terror,’ ‘you didn’t say terror.’ … So I said, [President Obama] did say ‘acts of terror, call it an act of terror, but Governor Romney, you are perfectly right that it took weeks for them to get past the tape.’”
Asked if that was a backtrack, Crowley said, “No. The question was — we got so stuck on that ‘act of terror.’ Now, did the President say this was an act of terror? The president did not say — he said ‘these acts of terror,’ but he was in the Rose Garden to talk about Benghazi, so I don’t think that’s a leap.” (The exact phrase Obama used: “no acts of terror.”)
I'll second that. I may not be Obama's biggest fan but I patently abhor spinning truth into a lie merely to further dumb down an already dumbed-down populace.
Obama did not say "this was an act of terror," he called it an "attack" a few times, and called it a "terrible act," but he not say "this act of terror" or "this terrorist act" in the same sentence as Benghazi. It took Obama nine paragraphs to even say the word "terror" and then it was vague reference to the American spirit and our nation's resolve.
