I guess he doesn't want to bother anymore with press conferences when he knows most people get their news from "other" sources, ahem...

Here's what he talked about with best friend Jon:

He's just getting more free advertising to distract from the poor record of the last four years. You surprised?

I'm sure that Mitt Romney would be welcomed on the Daily show, why wouldn't he go also?

Obama is trying to turn out his base, this will be a base election most likely, like 04. A lot of his base watches the daily show, so he goes there. Kind of like Romney going on Fox.

I guess in the new age of social media and with the press having their own little bias problems, the traditional press conference might be a thing of the past. It's just a little disconcerting that this President has time to do all these tv and radio shows (the Yo Show, e.g.) but can't speak directly to the American people from the oval office or the press room. It would seem more personal. Guess I'm just old fashioned.

You really think Obama's base watches Jon Stewart? Who makes up his base?

Old fashion, pretty much. Who sits down in front of the five or six networks that would broadcast a such an appearance? Today you go where the viewers are, not the other way around.

Bill Maher gave him $1 mill. He should go on his show.

Maher would ask him about marijuana legalization, not going to happen. Maybe after the election, but not before.

You want to win young voters? You go on the daily show, because that's what they watch. Getting younger voters to the polls will make or break the election, and the Obama campaign knows that.

I can't say it'll make or break the election, but it makes good political sense to try and turn out your base.

Who'll win? Its anyones guess. Anyone who tells you they know whos going to win, for sure, until 11/7 (maybe after, who knows), isn't being truthful.

Obama has a better chance of winning, statistically, if he gets his base out. Same with Romney. Who does a better job of that? Who knows.

When you have no record, anything will do! anthing not to talk about his failing misery ecnomy and policies.

It is more important to him, to be on tv then learn how to manage a budget, which he fails miserably at.

With all the night time talk shows, and day time talk shows, how can he manage anything.

No wonder why the economy is in the dumps!
