The article failed to even define what a Christian is. People have different view of Christianity, but the way I've always been taught is, either you are a Christian or you aren't. There are no such things as types. People who classify Christians as "liberal Christians" or "conservative Christians" don't know what they are talking about.
Tell that to the wonderful liberal democrats like Bill Maher or Reverend Wright who hates rich whites.
Bill Maher hates himself?
Bill Maher is an Atheist and although I disagree with his religious beliefs (or lack of them) he has every right as an American citizen to express his views. Why do you think he hates rich white people?
By the way, Bill Maher is NOT a Democrat. He's an Independent. I guess when Republicans voted for Obama in 2008, you also called them RINOs?
Are the Nuns on the Bus who believe in caring for the poor, sick and needy bad Christians? Are they "liberals" or just good people who believe in a compassionate society and feel cutting funding for the sick and needy to give tax breaks to the wealthy is wrong for our country?

For me, a "wrong kind of Christian" is one who self defines himself or herself as a Christian while not displaying the fruit of the Christian faith.
Obama mentions Scripture here and there - he never gives glory to Jesus Christ, or credit to God or Jesus for his status - at least not that I've heard.
Christians have a favorable view of Israel. We understand God's relation to Israel. That seems to be missing with Obama. He hasn't set foot in Israel and obviously does not view them as a friend to the country.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Have you read any of Obama's books?
Also, when was the last time you ever heard a President during a State of the Union Address or any national speech talk about Jesus Christ being his Lord and Saviour? That's ridiculous.
First of all, the President of the United States is the President of the United States of America. He is not the President of the Christian United States. What don't you understand about this?
Second, if you check your history, you'll learn that Ronald Reagan never visited Israel. FYI, so you don't have to do your homework, the following Presidents in recent times never visited Israel. George W. Bush didn't go to Israel during his first term. His father, who was our 41st President, never visited Israel, not once.
Harry Truman: no visit
Dwight Eisenhower: no visit
John Kennedy: no visit
Lyndon Johnson: no visit
Richard Nixon: sixth year of presidency
Gerald Ford: no visit
Jimmy Carter: third year of presidency
Ronald Reagan: no visit
George H.W. Bush: no visit
Bill Clinton: 4 visits—in the second, third, fourth and sixth years of his presidency
George W. Bush: 2 visits—in the eighth year of his presidency

I think this entire topic is stupid, but I'll post this link anyway.
"My Christian faith then has been a sustaining force for me over these last few years, all the more so when Michelle and I hear our faith questioned from time to time,"he said.
"We are reminded that ultimately what matters is not what other people say about us, but whether we’re being true to our conscience and true to our God."

I guess just like the debate about whether or not he meant "terrorism" when he said "acts of terror" now we'll hear from people who think he wasn't being specific enough when he said "my Christian faith."

Liberal vs. Conservative refers to their ideology and viewpoint on religion. It's most certainly a valid distinction. There are 38,000 denominations of Christianity. It's a bit more complicated than Christian or not Christian.

Guess you don't hear a lot of things. You must only listen to Fox and Rush Limbaugh. After all, Rush is a great example of what a good Christian should be.
"First and foremost, my Christian faith gives me a perspective and security that I don’t think I would have otherwise: that I am loved."
"at the end of the day God is in control."
"I have a job to do as president, and that does not involve convincing folks that my faith in Jesus is legitimate and real. I do my best to live out my faith, and to stay in the Word, and to make my life look more like His," Obama said "What I can do is just keep on following Him, and serve others—trying to make folks’ lives a little better using this humbling position that I hold."

I'm sorry to be quoting your post so much, but you made several false statements. One is that Obama has never given glory to God for where he is today. That's wrong.
The other was that he hasn't been to Israel, as if the other U.S. Presidents visited Israel, when that's not true at all. Even George W. Bush didn't "set foot" in Israel once for most of his 2 terms when he was POTUS.
Now I want to respond to what you said about Obama and his relationship with Israel, also false. By the way, Obama DID visit Israel when he was a candidate. So saying he never step foot in Israel is also false.
I can hardly remember a better period of American support and backing, and Israeli cooperation and similar strategic understanding of events around us,” the defense minister, Ehud Barak, said last year, “than what we have right now.”
So who knows better - you or the former Israeli Prime Minister and current Minister of Defense?
