Does America not have a Congress and a House to put a stop to a President's whims?

Where were they when all these things that Americans don't see as appropriate go on? All out on sick day?

But, as far as the blame... I honestly don't remember Reagan blaming Carter for things once he took office, he just took the steps he thought would fix it. One of the biggest issues I have with Obama to this day is that he seems to blame everyone but himself for what is going on in the country today - over 3 years since he has been in office. When democrats lost so many congressional seats in '94 Bill Clinton took a look at his policies, changed some of them, and moved more to the center. He also figured out how to work across party line, understanding that compromise is a two way street, which is not something Obama has been willing to do. I hope if Romney is one the one to take office that he follows those examples of presidential leadership instead of Obama's. I have lived through quite a few presidencies and none have tried to pass the buck as much as Obama, including Nixon, whose impeachment hearings I well remember.
Then why won't the Dam Republicans work together, instead of fighting on all issues that are before them?Yes .they have stated their stonewalling in the public forum. What a bunch of losers, Not Romney leads the pack, that's scary, think about it. I would not want a President that off shores profits to avoid taxes. Do you want someone like that running the Country?

It's called lobbyist, K street, and the elected nuts trying to protect their jobs . It does go on in both parties., always has.. However in the old days, they WERE more like Clinton., and the lobbyist were not nearly as powerful.

I want Obama out of there. Part of the reason I want him out of there is because he does not take responsibility for his own leadership, or lack thereof. The first step in fixing any problem is admitting it is there and he is incapable of doing that. In the military they have a saying: Lead, follow, or get out of the way. Since he isn't leading (nothing is his responsibility), he isn't following (he compromises on nothing), I want him out of the way. The other candidate capable of winning, meaning the Republican candidate, is who is getting my vote and would have to fall below a real low bar for me to not vote for him. I truly think Obama has surpassed Carter as the worst president in recent history. By the way, I voted for Obama last time.

This is why this blame game is so useless. Its always somebody else's fault. Nobody wants to take responsibility.

It's incredible to me that a candidate must be born in the USA, but it's acceptable to those on the right that he bets against it by investing in China from all angles and hides tax dollars from his own government. Which alternate universe do these people dwell in?

In fact if Romney wins, I may stay away from this board for a bit because the amount of conservative back patting and throwing it in liberals' faces that will exist here will be too much to take.
So CD is a fine place when it's patting your back, but if the table is turned... not so much? Conservatives and Libertarians hold their noses at the stink laid out in nonsensical posts from uber-progressive totalitarians daily. Now, you say you'll stay away from here, to go where? Mother Jones and the Daily KOS I should think.
