He's a political opinionist. Which is what most of the alphabet news channels are comprised of these days.

That is the correct answer.

You can give an opinion and still be a journalist (but not a fair reporter). An editorialist or Op-Ed columnist is a journalist, so is a commentator -which is what O'Reilly is.

I think he is both but I find him the fairest one around and tries to present both sides. It would get boring if he only presented one side. He talks about other things besides politics like headlines of the day.

He is number one on cable TV shows and has been for years. People who thought they would not like him say they watched and they were wrong after they found out for themselves and not the talking heads.

How about commentator, as most of them are anymore. I find him very entertaining and on the whole, very fair and balanced. Do I always agree with him ? No.

I watch some other commentators on other networks and like a few of them, as well. The problem I have with some of them though, is that they are pretty vicious in their comments.

O'Rielly is pretty calm, never gets all jazzed up and sceechie...like Chris Mathews...LOL

Now, Sean Hannity I get a little tired of.

What is Chris Mathews, Rachel Maddow or whatever her name is ? Same way with Laura Ingraham or Ann Coulter.....all commentators on the news.
