Some actual news after all these childish Republican/Democrat name-calling/bashing threads here....

The US is replacing full-body scanners deployed at some major airports that have been criticized for triggering potential health risks and privacy violations with a new type of machine that is faster and not too intrusive. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) operates more than 700 body scanners at about 180 airports across the country.

Good to see that the privacy issue is finally resolved, I will personally still request the pat down for political reasons, if you want to call it that.

I also try to do what I can to slow things down and hopefully (if enough people take it up), bring forth change.

Yes we do. And this time the government did pick a winner because they funded it and it took off and now they supply scanners at airports all over the world.

I got in at $35. Closed yesterday at $79, up 3% in a down market. They reported excellent earnings, above what analysts predicted and they have booked orders in the millions.

The TSA split it's order on these new machines between L-3 and Rapiscan.
Rapiscan is a subsidiary of OSI Systems. The CEO is a buddy of Obama and has traveled wth him on his foreign economic trips. Since then OSI has gotten scanner contracts for governments all over the world.

"Never let a good crisis go to waste" my friends. I didn't think we'd do well with the green companies because China already has us beat in labor costs. But I did belly up to the table with airport security because that area didn't have that type of competition.

OSIS is the symbol.

When a "crisis" erupts, think about who will benefit (Wall Street) and gamble. I did it with the false flu pandemic we had (Baxter drugs) and again with airport security (OSI Systems).

Although the government spending needed for this is not good, in general this is good news (that the full body scanners are being gotten rid of).

That will not happen under any administration. The DHS and TSA are here to stay.
And more government agencies are absorbed by them every day.
