How are the rights of rape victims any less important than other political issue? IMO, abortion rights and the GOP lunacy regarding rapes is much more important to the future of the country than the perennial teeth gnashing that is engaged in by conservatives around the issue of whether a redneck should be able to buy an assualt rifle with a 30 round magazine.
Abortion has been what it is since 1973. Every election we always hear about the evil republicans will be elected and end abortiong. Well here we are almost 40 years later. It gets folks wound out and that is why it continues to be brought up on both sides to deflect from pertinent issues at hand. Here we are again.................

OK, let's get even more ridiculous here. Make the raped mother go to full term, then incarcerate the perpetrator and the child as well. Force the rapist to care for his own child, most prisons pay inmates about 50 cents a day, that's fair enough isn't it? Oh, you'll be paying for that kid for 18 years, and as the child grows older, whatever the daddy can't provide, you'll be picking up the tab. Kids get more expensive to care for and educate into their teens. The child will be turned out only when it is proven he/she is a contributing citizen, and the rapist would be neutered at your expense too.
Fact.. Many more rapes are committed by Democrats than Republicans! So before you have a condescending attitude towards Republicans keep that little fact in mind!

Most don't realize that very thing so like you say all pandering.
I hope the women of America realize how little they mean to the Republican patriarchs that consider them chattel to be bought, sold, traded and raped anytime the boys want.
You're worried about a comment on what rape should be defined as. I'm more worried about the Middle East being a powder keg waiting to explode possibly triggering WWIII. I guess we have very different priorities
It's not a matter of priorities.
If the Middle East explodes, well, there is really nothing you or anyone else can do about that; there is nothing you or any other citizen can do to prevent that.
However, we CAN do something about keeping and protecting women's rights in this country.
Well Obama stands with the muslims. Look at how they treat women if you want to get an idea about women's rights in the future if our dictator is named.
