"Though publicly traded corporations have mostly shied away from new super PACs, one California energy giant is bucking the tide with a $2.5 million donation to a Republican group, new records show."

"The amount dwarfs the $1.2 million that Chevron’s political-action committee and its employees have given to federal candidates, primarily to Republicans such as Boehner and presidential nominee Mitt Romney, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. The firm has also spent nearly $15 million on Washington lobbying since the start of 2011."

Yes, 4.7 million an hour in profits (that's after taxes, straight profit)

Fox says Obama and the dems are mean to poor, poor, big oil and they are there only to help us. There's no way that Obama's statement could be anywhere near right, could it?

Spoiler

ExxonMobil’s taxes were $12.3 million an hour, and it took more than $47 million an hour to run the global business. Those statistics are also accurate and they put the $4.7 million an hour in profits in context."

PolitiFact | President Barack Obama says, "Exxon pocketed nearly $4.7 million every hour"
The largest company in the world makes large profits. Their profit margin though is lower than GE, McDonalds and about 1/3 of Apple.

You know how Exxon got to be so large?

Oil companies were going bankrupt left and right and they had to merge.

Watching you play with numbers is like fingernails on a chalkboard....I cringe at such willfull ignorance. Sigh.

P.S. You don't remember the senate investigation of the oil companies and thier conclusion? It was by dems fyi.

This is good news. It suggests that they expect Romney to win the election. Perhaps we'll soon see some fiscal sanity back in the White House.

So you think freedom = dictating to someone that they cant give away THEIR OWN MONEY?

Under what definition would that fall under?

Your definitions of freedom and liberty are vastly different than mine. And those of any dictionary.
