It is extremely destructive, no doubt.

BTW, how many people normally get killed in those seven states, on a typical weekend when there is no hurricane, but only "normal" late-October weather?

There is no concern for the individual in collectivist societies. The individual becomes collateral damage, an accepted loss and their grievances are lost in the mantra of those who claim to shepherd the herd. Collectivist societies kill individuals and history has shown this over and over. You can't care about someone if you don't even know who it is you claim you care about. How could you? Those are cheap words from people who love to talk about how much they care.

Probably not many, since normal late-October weather doesn't really include the kind of winds that bring down trees and branches. Or floods.

It's all Obama's fault.

With millions begging for help, Obama should just sign an executive order suspending the elections indefinitely and declare Martial Law so everyone feels safe.

That's the Hope, Change and moving Forward that I'm looking for.

Hahahahaha!!!!!!!!

In other words, you don't know.

Death Toll up to 62.

Sandy's death toll hits 62, as tales of tragedy and heroism emerge from devastation | Fox News

NYC alone has had 30. If you add Long Island, more than half the deaths occurred in NY.

New York City's Hurricane Sandy death toll rises to 30 - NY Daily News

What's the reason for the low totals of NJ? You would think a direct hit would have produced more deaths. Thankfully, not, but people want to make NJ ground zero, when NY actually suffered the greatest loss of life.

I live here and we don't have trees uprooting and roofs blown off on a regular October weekend. My town looks like it was hit by a bomb. Don't understand why people keep trying to minimize this storm

I can't understand the joking either. I have been through a major disaster...Nothing at all to be making light of. I am praying for everyone and their safety.
