Anybody having a problem with what Christie did for his constituents is an idiot. If Obama didn't give aid or ignored Christie because of his past comments. He would have equally being a sensitive idiot unfit to be President.

At some point you have to be a human being.

I'm a Conservative and I'm not bashing Christie for not biting the hand that feeds his constituents.

It shows CLASS...something Liberals don't even know the definition of.

So you think that the federal government feeds you? Not very conservative of you.

I agree, conservatives like to "fed by the government" when they face a disaster. So hypocritical IMO and ridiculous.

ETA: I think Christie is doing an excellent job in NJ from what I have seen, read, and heard about his management. The GOP would do best to congratualte him on a wide scale versus spouting unwarranted criticisms. He's actually doing something, and not using politics as an excuse not to get something done. It makes no sense to bicker about "us" vs "them" in times similar to what he and his constituents are facing. If anything he is exuding the true meaning of a "public servant." Those of you GOP members criticizing him are crazy, he is the best thing you got going for your party right now - he is MILES above Romney! Just this situation alone makes me hope he runs in 2016 for president.

Did he grab a shovel and help dig? Man a bobcat, a loader, drive a dump truck while he was there?
Wade in foul water and do a few rescues?
No? Then other than the photo op why was he there?
Um....presidents don't just deputize the police force of wherever they visit, they have something called Secret Service agents who protect them. It's a morale thing, I know right wing hatred for him goes so deep that he's being criticized for idiotic crap like "reacting too quickly to an emergency" by Michael "Brownie" but a president needs to show he's a leader. I don't recall any righties complaining after 9/11 when Bush was throwing out the 1st pitch at a Yankees game, requiring an incredible amount of security yet they'll never shut up about what Obama does no matter what it is

The premise of the o/p, (conservatives eating their own), makes the irony of this post even more delicious...!!!
