What are you talking about, they did invent it. Specifically, the liberal freaks created Global Warming as a means of control and ultimately to destroy the US economy. Consider the billions we have already wasted on this liberal hoax.

PS Global Warming is real. Humans have contributed to it. CO2 has caused the earth to be cooler by somewhere between .25 and .5 decrees C. However, all theories related to this warming causing forcing resulting from a positive feedback effect have failed to find solid footing. (that means CAGW as a theory fails short of provability).
