Crazy and extreme? Give me a break. From what I observed..the left are twice as crazy...Obama gives aid to the Muslim Brotherhood...and organization that hates America and a political religious group that even Egyptians don't want any part of...I would say that is pretty crazy...and foolish. Extreme? Not as extreme as people not being satisfied with legal unions between same sex couples but who force the redefinition of sex it self and now marry each other pretending they are male and female..when they are not- THAT is extreme. Moved so far to the right??????-----------not true..The left has moved so far to the left that there was no room left for further movement that they pressed on and popped up as the new extreme right. Democrats are the new extreme right- all evidence points in that direction.
What has happened is that Democrats have harassed the so called former right into a state of insanity...Hope you are happy.
What you have now are two parties that are both extreme and both so far right that partisan politics really do not exist...You have one big fat party where the two parts are both quite crazy...and there really is no opposition.. I believe that is what they call fascism. Good luck - both side of this body have doomed America to the unpleasant future were no one is free.

The GOP seems to be driven primarily by anger and fear. What we see is the inevitable consequence of those primitive emotions controlling their politics.

After Democrats gained control of the White House, House and Senate... Republicans have moved so far too the right and been spouting out all types of crazy and extreme statements from economy, religion, foreign policy, women's rights etc.
What is the reasoning behind this? Do they feel that they lost popularity in 2008 because their party was not far enough right?
the republicans havent moved to the right, the democrats have moved to the left.
There is a difference between legitimate rape and rape. A baby born from rape is God's will. Obama is a Muslim sleeper terrorist. The world is on the verge of collapse because of Iran. Hurricane Sandy is punishment from God. There have been a few moderate Republican politicians that have left the party because they have become too extreme.
Legitimate rape = The guy got voted out and the GOP bigwigs begged him not to run.
Baby born of rape is god's will = Voted out of office and the GOP begged him to bow out.
These were regional Republicans saying stupid things to appease their local base. I could post similar quotes from urban Democrats who have said things just as stupid but managed to get elected because the media didn't headline their stupid quotes for days.

Explain how forcing people to buy medical insurance is not extreme or radical.
They hate it when the "state' says everyone must buy medical insurance, but they dont mind that the "state" requires a woman has to have a probe shoved up her vagina to exercise her constitutionally protected right to an abortion.
They haven't. The left has moved so far left that they can't even see the right from where they live.
