Plenty of non union workers up here too.

No one cares in a disaster. It's all about restoration and moving on. As it should be.

So, we have one quote from one crew (only ones quoted in all articles I looked at) and that makes all unions terrible? Hmmm. I'm reserving judgment until I hear from someone IN Seaside Heights or NJ.

It seems like one person either misunderstood what they were told, or wants to cause a stir in the media, because anyone local knows there are plenty of non union here right now...

Unfortunately people will believe anything they read. People in this thread will keep repeating it over and over like it's gospel

Thank you for your first hand information and photo. It seemed extremely unbelievable to me that NJ would turn away any help during this disaster.

Wonder if they'll let any non union capable welfare recipients join in on the clean up ?

You'd think many people drawing Obama Bucks would now have new job opportunities.

If nothing else this BS story gives people a chance to express their union envy.

So the story you posted has been shown to be iffy at best now you have to move to the next thing on the list - welfare recipients? Nice.
