Huh?

You think if a republican was President that delivery systems and refineries on the coast would be up and running now?

Really?

You tried....and your point is crystal clear....but they are simply unreachable. They simply cannot - and will not - be reasoned with.

'Course, we knew that.

Yes it's so terrible. I had to park my car to conserve the half tank that's left and gasp....I had to take the subway today! I know the horror right? I'm going to vote for Romney because he would have got on his direct line to Jaysus and prevented this from happening.

This is life with restricted gasoline. People fighting, trying to get ahead of each other, state police everywhere. Here we are, in a Mad Max kind of world, living the green dream of limited petro-resources. I hope you enviros are loving it.

Sorry for our trouble. As a general rule, when the weatherman announces a storm might be coming my way, we prepare. Gas up the car, put gasoline in the cans for the generator that we made sure was up and running at the start of hurricane season. We make sure we have gas for the grill so we can cook. A couple of years ago my part of town was without electricity for 2 weeks. People shared. There were extension cords running all over the neighbor as folks shared their generator.

The enviros enjoy among us can make do on not a lot of stuff. Some of us enjoy playing the game of see how little gasoline you can use. I'm getting 35 MPG in my old car. Some people can get 50MPG just by the way they drive.

Oh, yeah. His point is clear.

He wants to keep making the oil barons richer and keep ignoring/defunding any/all research and development that will wean us off of fossil fuels.

He wants us to believe that there is no earthly alternative to fossil fuels and that we believe otherwise at our own peril.

We get it.

However, "getting it" and agreeing with it are two completely different things.

The point being that if Obama is re-elected, every day will be just like the Sandy aftermath everywhere.

Which, to anyone with even a passing acquaintance with reality, is utterly absurd.

Thank the politicians for the gouging laws that have created the shortages.

Smart liberals filled their gas tanks before the storm. I don't know if conservatives were too conservative to also do so.
