Exempting churches from taxes is a roundabout way for the government to funnel my money into churches. It's a gift of money and services to churches at the expense of the tax payer, and that violates the 1st Amendment.
Yep, you're getting cheated alright. Doesn't that just burn you up?

Ya want something back?

Go to church once in a while.

It's free.

That's not the issue. The issue is these people using untaxed "church money" to buy untaxed "church property" like the "church mansions" they live in, the "church clothes" they wear, the "church private jets" they use to go on "church trips", etc.

And again, by not taxing these things, the lost revenue it picked up by taxpayers. So it's you and me who are essentially paying for these "church" things.

Does welfare fraud bother you?

You're not losing money on churches. You're losing money on police and fire fighter's and official's lucrative pensions.

You may get your wish though. If anyone can get around the constitution it's Obama. I'm sure taxing churches has crossed his mind a million times.

Thousands of different industries allow for the very same thing. You can write off clothes you have to have to for work. You can write your trips and jet off.

Want to get rid of many of these write offs for everyone? O.K., I would listen to that.
