Funny business in Philly: GOP officials booted, Black Panthers return -- and Obama at polling site? | Fox News
Obama Poster Hanging in Florida Polling Station | MRCTV
It looks like this is inside public schools. Nope, no indoctrination of our students going on here <sarcasm>. I wonder how such things are handled legally since there is to be no form of campaigning within a certain distance of polling places and this includes shirts, hats, or pins worn by voters? The people running the polling location or the public schools should have removed the poster and put up something to cover the mural to comply with voter laws.

How is having Obama's image in the public schools any different from any other public figure or President? As far as covering up the Posters, why? The voters have already made up their mind of who they are voting for before they've gone to the booth.

Voters aren't allowed to wear political shirts, hats, nor buttons for candidates, political party, or political issue being voted on. No campaign signs are allowed within a certain distance of polling stations. By law, the posters should have been removed and the mural should have been covered.

Because it is illegal to have images like this in polling places. Perhaps you are not aware but you can be removed for wearing a similar shirt to vote.

I may have problems with restricting the free speech of individuals that way but it is the law.

Unfortunately, Obama's also a candidate. Therefore, the picture comes down.

The "mural" is not at issue. Having the polling place in view of the "mural" is the problem.

Where are all the murals of Bush, Clinton, Reagan, or Carter? I don't remember ANY.
What does Rmoney have to do with this thread? Focus on the topic at hand.

Then why not let Romney staffers campaign in line if everyone has already "made up their mind"?

OR...they should have relocated the booths in a different section of the school.
