Another white woman with a graduate degree checking in from a blue state.
Maybe you should learn some statistics before you run about telling people to get an education.
This election was about demographics. And demographics tell us that the blue states as a whole are better educated, make more money and contribute more towards the federal government than red states do. Obviously there are individuals within those states that buck those trends but again, that are the exception not the rule.
My daughter who has Lupus,Rheumatoid arthritis, thyroid issues ,three back surgeries and a recent shoulder reconstruction is on food stamps and was fearing she would lose them under Romney. After
a conversation with her I realized that the single factor of food stamps and other medicaid support
put Mr Obama over the top? You can't make this stuff up! It was an ingenious political strategy for
future application and it worked huge!! I appreciate my daughter food stamps as it gets her through
the month. Her medicaid isn't enough for rent or living independently and with her daughter has to
find friends to live with (basements, over garages etc). We help with our minimal income.
Wouldn't your daughter qualify for Social Security disability?
I was told by an Obama supporter to quit my job and live off the government because I would be better off.
This person is a free loader.
I was embarrassed for her... And that is the only reason why she voted for him. She said so... She doesn't want the free loading to end and she was afraid Romney would take away her "benefits".
The others thought Romney was going to take away abortion and BC.......what strange reasons to vote for a President.........
Your ignorance is astounding. The ignorant and less educated and non productive people in these states voted for Obama because they live off of the government. They certainly would not vote for Romney. Wise up. The freeloaders are Democratic voters. There is no such thing as a poor illiterate states. People are poor and illiterate in all state. That includes your state. Get an education.
While those on foostamps are more likely to vote democrat, there are republicans on government assistance too, so your education might need to be expanded too.
Most rational people know every state has poverty, middle class and high class. Poverty rate among states is usually between 5-15%, and foostamps rate is also 15%. Even if all those people were voting democrats (which they're not, many foodstamp recipient are children and some are adult republicans) Even if that were true, Obama didn't win states with only 15% of the vote.
If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. That's the old saying. I guess we all pile on the wagon until the wheels come off. I guess things won't change until the wagon stops completely.
Think I'd rather be on top of that wagon.......I wonder if I keep my job/can keep my job if it will guarantee me a position on top of the pile of cr*p.......
What a vision for America "Once a prosperous nation, now under control of Free Loaders"

But Uncle Ben is pumping $80 billion per month into the system and this QE has no end date so we don't need to worry do we ??
Everyone knows that welfare queens, junkies, and youthful ne'er do wells are the first in line to vote. Something about being destitute loser and civic duty just go hand in hand.
