I almost never write about myself, considering the subject too boring and unimportant, despite numberous desperate leftist attempts to change the subject from whatever a thread was started for to "what Little-Acorn thinks".

But I predicted that Romney would win the popular vote by 5-6%, and win Ohio, Florida, Virginia, Colorado, and possibly Pennsylvania.

I was wrong. I'll devote considerable effort from here on in, to making sure I don't make the same mistake twice.

So, instead of the course of changing our government from an interfering one to a non-interfering one that lets people run their own lives and their own country, we will now see four more years of what it has been for the last four: A govt that believes it can fix things, while ignoring the fact it govt is what broke them in the first place, and keeps overriding the decisions of citizens on how to run their own lives, and uses its coercive power to take from those who earn and give to those who either can't (for whatever reason) or won't.

Well said. America lost big time . We will suffer the consequences over the next four years.

It happens. I still remember being so absolutely certain that the American people could not possibly be stupid enough to reelect Clinton in 1996. I was so certain that I bet 10 pounds of fresh Alaskan halibut that Clinton would lose. Obviously, I was wrong.

I also thought Romney was going to win, easily, and that the GOP would take control of the Senate. After all, the American people cannot be THAT stupid that they would reelect Obama who has been far worse than Clinton ever was, can they?

After Clinton, Bush (43), and Obama, I am no longer an optimist when it comes to judging the intelligence of the American voter. Never again will I underestimate the stupidity of the American people.

Good for you. Admitting that you are wrong is the first step to acceptance. Maybe if more people would do that then maybe we can work together. I don't like the two party system. I think it is corrupt and leads to an us vs. them mentality.

Maybe you get the house to admit that they were wrong in not making a good faith negotiation with the Democrats. Both sides are going to have to give a little.

It's ok man it was another lie.

You may have woke up in the same bed this morning, but you didn't wake up in the same country. The old USA is dead and gone.

1883 thru 2012..... it's it dead and gone.

We now live in a new soon to be 3rd world called Amerika. You will get what the govt says you will get, and nothing more.

Was thinking of making a thread for it, but it can wait for the gloaters. I don't want to spoil their day.

Now it is the left's turn to PAY the way....

I hope to get back surgery!

I think you are confused about what Romney would have done if elected. Hint: nothing different than Obama.

If you REALLY were interested in non-interfering one that lets people run their own lives and their own country you would have supported Ron Paul and/or Gary Johnson throughout the campaign.

Amen to that. It is shocking that they want another four years of what we have just gone through. I am amazed. So much for change in this country.

America didn't lose the GOP lost. STOP pretending the GOP IS america. It is not.

It may have been "America" 70 years ago but it is not now.

It is the more recent declined that has me concerned. Since 1992 the Presidents have gone from bad to worse, with no indication that it will get better in the foreseeable future. It is going to be a very bumpy road as we travel toward that totalitarian socialist state that we seem destined to travel.

Whats amazing is that the GOP was stupid enough to allow Mittens to be the nominee. it would have been an easy victory if they had picked a decent candidate.
