Somebody is running the GOP to ground. Who is really running the party?
Rush Limbaugh and other so called conservative talk show hosts ?
Fox news?
Religious extremists who think rape is ok?
It sure is not run by sane people now.
I am republican leaning socially liberal and fiscally conservative person. I beleive the following
1. Abortion should be legal in certain condition and left to woman to choose
2. Gay partnership is ok and should be given all rights
3. Government should be small with adequate power to regulate
4. Don't spend what you don't have
5. Every body should pay equal tax and taxes should be lowered
6. Everybody should be free to practice their religion
7. State and religion (church ,temple,mosque ,synagogue etc) should be separate
8. President should not be allowed to choose supreme court judges
9. Limit senate and house of rep elected official terms to 3
10. Cut down current government size
11. Get rid of all welfare schemes and redo it to meet 20th and 21st century.
And a few other wishes...
We need GOP to be redone..from grass roots.
1. Get rid of extremists who are parasites likes of rush, glen beck, Anne coulter etc..(they are in it for commercial reasons)
2. Put some young blood to party
3. Reach out to non white males
4. Think like a 21st century human being
4. Blacks ,Hispanics , Asians ,single women , youngsters are not born democrats .... They just become over a period of time. Understand this and address this.
5. For the love of god ..forget gays and abortion... It's the matter or law...if somebody does it illegally they get punished. Leve it to the religion and law enforcement. Abortion is not politics.
6. Stop treating fox news as the official outlet of republican party. Murdoch is just interested in his growth and share holders wealth. No for profit organization can do a justice to The cause of converatism which is designed for the good of this country.

The GOP is has been running of the same fundamental policies for the past 50 years. As long as they can get elected to state and local offices in places like Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Kansas, Idaho, Texas, Wyoming, and other "Red States" and regions of certain other states they will continue to cling to their ideology and policies. The rest of country is is prepared to pass them by.

I believe the man's name is Hipster Doofus. When he's not running the GOP he is a tank cleaner at Red Lobster.
When they say a resulting pregnancy is a "gift from God", they are giving legitimacy to the act of rape. Can't you see that?
The end justifies the means.
No, I can't see it. My forbearers came over here from Germany, Sweden, and Britain due to monarchy, lack of opportunity, and generally oppressive/cronyist gov't in their homelands. Am I glad it worked out that way? Yes. I'm glad I wound up as an American, a citizen of the greatest nation ever. Does it "give legitimacy" to cronyism and oligarchy? No.
I think Karl Rove was running it until he recently felt faint and had to go lie down. He may never get up again, poor thing.
