I know that Mr. Beck professes the Mormon religion and that is very different from what I recall of my Catholic school catechism, but is there any Republican who wants to defend that bit of blasphemous oddness?
That the US constitution is divinely inspired is one of the tenets of Mormonism. Glenn Beck is echoing his religion's theology. It may be blasphemous from the perspective of a Catholic but by definition it is not to a Mormon.

I can totally get why you would disagree with Beck's statement, but how on earth does it qualify as "blasphemous"?
From Glenn Beck yesterday (did nobody else notice this?):

Is there a link to what you call quoted? So you get Dish Net for TV so you can watch Glenn Beck some, now and then. Surely you don't pay the $4.95 per month it takes to see him on his internet site.
I didn't get all of Beck's show, yesterday but sure didn't see what you say you did. Is there a chance that you got this from MM or Stink Prog.

Thanks, I suspected there might be a difference but I didn't know for sure.
As I said earlier, it's one of the tenets of Mormonism. A religious belief cannot be blasphemous, heresy might be a better word.
A religious belief may be blasphemous from the perspective of other religious beliefs.
