Why is that? There are no break downs when right-wingers call Democrats moochers and say that they voted for Obama for handouts. There was no break down of Romeny's 47%.

This says it all:

Seventy percent of counties with the fastest-growth in food-stamp aid during the last four years voted for the Republican presidential candidate in 2008, according to U.S. Department of Agriculture data compiled by Bloomberg. They include Republican strongholds like King County, Texas, which in 2008 backed Republican John McCain by 92.6 percent, his largest share in the nation; and fast-growing Douglas County, Colorado

The whole liberals want handouts and conservatives are hardworking BS is just that. It is a lie and liberals know it. Funny how right-wingers want proof when it contradicts them, but when it's something they agree with or want to believe, facts are not a factor.

idaho votes red everywhere just about, and the amount of food stamp use and government assistance is shocking.. so I believe this...the difference is idaho is 95% white.. so perhaps food stamps and government assistance is ok so long as it isn't "those people"

Okay people, why didn't repub trickle-down provide these jobs before 2008? You do realize that unemployment was increasing then, and has lowered overall under Obama, right?
You are saying that Romney was different than Bush? How? The republican "jobs plans" are always the same - funnelling money to the 1%. Yeah, that has worked out great.

Actually you have that reversed. The uneducated idiots on welfare vote for Obama and the Democrats. Anyone with a first grade education knows that.
Is that how you know? [knee slap]

Hypocritical and stupid, great combo.
Shades of Joe-the-Plumber types thinking they have something in common with Wall Street billionaires, so they vote republican. Pretty sad.
BTW many government-hating red states are on government assistance, and even toy with secession. How's that for disconnect?

Joe the Plumber said in 2008 that although he wasn't in the top1%, he was expecting to have a plumbing business that would put him in the top1% very soon. Did that every come to fruition?

Well if everyone on welfare is a Republican then the Dems should have no problem ending the program.
Go, get your revenge as Valerie Jarrett so nicely put it.

Geeze you people are pathetic.

The county in NY that has the highest percentage of income coming from government entitlements is Montgomery county, guess who they voted for, Romney

And the disconnect continues. If a repub needs assistance they should get it - just don't keep voting for those who want to destroy it. I know this is real hard to fathom.

The only thing that is outlandish is trying to compare counties to counties when the populations of those counties can be astronomically different. You have upwards of 35% of people on welfare in the counties that make up NYC and they are equal to the population of the rest of the counties in that state with a lower percent on welfare. For arguments sake lets every county in NY voted for Romney except for the handful that encompass NYC. You still have a larger number of people on welfare in that handful of counties that make up NYC....

Nope it's Bronx county with 35% of income from the government, 1.3 million people and 91.2% voting for Obama.

Montgomery county has 30% of income from the government, 50 thousand people and a 51/47 split on the vote in favor of Romney.

See how absurd your comparisons are now?
