Personally I think it's the social issues which lead to the economic falls. The entire world seems like it is on the verge of collapse. Social issues are the key to prosperity and healing. And the European model is not something that the US should try to follow when it comes to social issues.
Republicans should look upward for answers. And anyone else who wants to join our side should do the same if they know what is good for them.
What do you think?

I don't really know in what sense the US has been supporting Europe since the Soviet Union fell.
The countries that are failing in Europe are the ones that treded to the right. Weak social security nets, low minimum wages, big differences between rich and poor, weak banking regulations. Budgets padded out with borrowed money. Basically the same setup as the US, and they got the same problems as the US.
Except they lack the US economic bedrock, and they aren't printing the worlds reserve currency, so they got hit harder and sooner. Italy, Greece, Portugal, Spain, USA, Ireland. Same setup, same problems.
The countries that are doing well in Europe, the Nordics, Switzerland, Germany, Austria etc all have conservative budgets and very strong social policies.
