I have no problem with the government paying anyone who was a slave in the US reparations, they can even have 100 years of compound interest on it. But not their kids, grand kids, great grand kids or great great grand kids.
Maybe they could pass a special tax on the descendants of slave owners to pay for it, would that be fair? Make the tax retroactive back to the 1800's too.
The sad thing is this is a joke, but there are plenty of people who actually believe it, both that blacks today deserve it and that Obama would actually try to pay it.

Actually while other policiticians have discussed reparations, the only thing that would hint about this being satire is that Obama really doesn't promise anything to black Americans. Not jobs, he's never addressed inner city black youth unemployment, or problems many black communities face such as crime and chronic unemployment. He's never suggested a way to get jobs to Americans who need them.
