Ohioans’ food stamp aid to be reduced Benefit to fall $50 a month starting in January

Ohio families receiving food stamps could get an unwelcome surprise come January: $50 less every month in assistance.

For the 869,000 households enrolled in the program for the poorest Ohioans, that could amount to about $520 million annually out of the grocery budgets.

Is what the freeple voted for?

Obamabots have been insisting that the economy is booming and job creation is great...shouldn't be a problem, should it?

I don't have a problem with this. We have to make cuts everywhere.

[easy for me to say, though, as I'm not on food stamp aid...]

Isn't this what conservatives want? Smaller handouts?

CA did that some time ago..lowered the amounts received.

When you run out of money cuts have to be made.

I don't think there's a choice.

[doesn't matter what is one's political persuasion...]

No other aspect of the government can be cut right ?
Reality is money is running out..too many people wanting and not enough giving.

The left don't like dealing with the reality that money runs out.

No, their policy is to cry and scream at anything Obama does.

Cuts must be made. Sadly.

However, since the left keeps saying jobs are up and getting better, this should pose no problem

No, we want the safety net to take care of the people who need it. But democrats just want to keep expanding these welfare programs, to get more people to vote for them, in order to keep the free stuff coming.

I've made this point many times, you keep expanding the safety net like this, and then the people who the programs were intended to help, don't get the help they need, and get forced to wait in line behind throngs of greedy people who just want more free stuff.
