Heavens no, but the Obama administration seems to be.

A mean, vindictive, godless bunch would not be running 629 hospitals, 400 health centers, and 1500 specialized homes in this country to begin with.

How far is President Obama prepared to take this?

God bless Bishop Conley

Now, I do not understand something, I thought Muslims & the Amish were exempt from this?

Why can't they do the same for the Catholic Church?

While I agree that we needed reform in areas like pre-exisiting conditions and moving care from state to state, we didn't need a total federal government takeover. I for one will not forget that a large part of the blame belongs to them.
The bishops may have sold Obama the rope to hang them with, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be sympathetic.

The Muslims and Amish are not exempt either. We might not be hearing much from them because ....

1. Muslims and Amish don't run many hospitals, health clinics, charities, colleges or universities in America (so far as I know).

2. While they tend to oppose abortion and contraception, they might not have a developed theology of cooperation with intrinsic evil. For instance, the Catholic Church believes that if abortion is intrinsically evil, so also is paying for an abortion even if you don't directly perform the abortion. I'm not sure the Muslims and the Amish have the same scruples.

No he isn't. And "he" isn't giving out BC, sterilizations or morning after pills. What you are saying amounts to "he is a citizen of a country that does those things so he is going to lose his soul". You guys really don't know where to draw the line ...and then pretend it doesn't even exist if it suits you. Catholics are funny. Will you move away if we have Universal Health and your Catholic BUSINESSES no longer even have a stake in it? Why not?

Bingo, that is what the Obama administration is hoping for. One payer/government insurance. But just remember when the government controls your healthcare they control you.

Are you unaware who controls you now?

If the Catholic religion becomes incompatable with the USA it's pretty much over for it. I'm ok with that.

How could it be over for it? You do know the Catholic religion is world wide don't you? Our little turf of the world is very small even though we think the US is the entire world---well some do.

If our constitution holds up then freedom of religion will hold up. If our constitution does not hold up then we are all screwed anyway.

You really should stop embarrassing yourself. Not only do you not understand Catholicism in the slightest, you don't even understand what the Affordable Care Act is demanding from Catholics and all Christian institutions. You're in way over your head tonight.

Catholic hospitals take poor people who are on medicaid.
That's not what I meant by fed money. I'm referring to grants or applying for x dollars to help offset costs of this, that, or the other.
