Here is a website that tells you a celebrities net worth. Even though Obama is not a celebrity the link below shows you. He has over $11Million in net worth and gets paid $4K a year. If he pays more in taxes it does not really matter to him since he already has 11 million. Those people who already made their millions it is no big deal to them. Those trying to climb their way up will never get there.

And didn't BO state, on MANY occasions, that he feels he, himself, should be paying more in taxes.
I've heard the same from Jon Stewart, Colbert, and Maher.
What's the point of this thread? To agree with them?
Personally, I feel we ALL pay to little. Never in this nation's history have income tax rates been this low. We wanna say we're the greatest nation on Earth, but it seems many, unlike generations past, want that for free.
I also believe we give away far to much through the various loopholes. Again, "gimme" seems to be the word of this entire generation.

Those trying to climb their way up will never get there because upward social mobility continues to decline year after year. It has to do with declining school performance, increasing financial gap between the middle and upper classes... and less to do with tax rates.
Rich is very relative and people don't see it based on numbers. For example I live in Los Angeles and 250k doesn't seem rich to me. However, 250K puts you in the top 1-2% nationally.

Not counting the first 137 years of our country's existence when the federal income tax didn't exist, of course.
