This is what has been warned about and it is starting to happen

A patient's move from one Southern California community to another nearby triggers a 25% rate hike by Anthem Blue Cross despite no change in her care.
Swope's monthly premium on her individual policy will increase to $524 from $418.

That's a more than 25% rate hike. For a move of less than 10 miles.

"It's ridiculous," Swope told me. "I'm going to the same doctor. I'm going to the same facilities and the same drugstore. Nothing has changed."

How do you figure this is something new. This has always been going on. Here where I live there are two different "zones" for Blue Cross. If you live in the zone that is further away from the DC area, the premiums are cheaper; however, you often find yourself using the same doctors.

Not going to happen, especially not after all those fat campaign contributions by the companies that are picking up millions of new paying customers.

Maybe in 10-20 years.
