Hamas abandoned its Syrian and Iranian allies in favor of America's new found proxy, the Muslim Brotherhood. As much as it scares you, Hamas is closer to us than you think. Gaza may have been an Iranian outpost but now it's an Egyptian/Qatari-influenced strip.

You mean Gaza and not the West Bank. Gaza had a tunnel system to smuggle in items with its border directly with Egypt. The West Bank borders Jordan and no missle attacks come from them. Instead thry send out the suicide bombers. As to Iran, its indirectly instigating a war by supplying weapons through Sudan.

Hitting mostly militants? Look at the casualty figures in the Arab-Israeli conflict from any era. For example, why did Israel attack the UN shelter for civilians in Qana, killing dozens of children when there was not a militant within sight? The Israeli Government views Arabs as inhuman and treats them accordingly, then wonders why some Arabs refuse to recognize their existence.

Since 1987 about 7978 Palestinians, 1620 of them children, have been killed in the conflicts and 1503 Israelis (142 children.)---the majority being civilians. To which we can add the 9 verified Palestinian deaths, including at least one child, from today's events.

For every death there have been about 7 casualities, and Palestinians have also suffered a far greater number of these.

You seem to have a problem researching your information. Hamas was ejected from Syria because they sided with the rebels. Assad closed down all their locations and asked them to leave.

No, they left before he closed their locations down and before he asked them to leave. The Syrian Regime only closed their offices last week. They've been gone for months and their leader voiced support for the Syrian rebels ages ago. Syria's regime did not release a statement condemning Hamas even once, and state media only condemned them for the first time for their betrayal a few weeks ago. Nice try though.

Assad had the leaders leave due to their backing the rebels. He allowed them to leave quietly. Once they were gone then he did his spin of closing the already empty offices. No matter what Hamas' actions were, Assad still has to play the Arab card.

Hamas didn't officially declare opposition to Assad until they left Syria. Actually, to date, there are still a few moderate voices within Hamas who maintain pro-Assad views and therefore Assad had no reason to suspect them of abandoning him until they actually did.

For those that may question Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state and think it was arbitrarily given to the Jews, let us review history.

Only one group of people have continuously lived in Israel for the past 3,700 years - the Jews. Jerusalem, in particular, has had a Jewish majority since the 1840s, 40 years prior to the beginnings of Zionism. The nations that inhabited the land prior to the Jews are no longer in existence, for they have been absorbed into various other peoples throughout the millennia. The Arabs of Israel only came to the land during the Muslim invasion.

There have always been some Arabic people living in the land, as there have been Jewish people. The mass immigration of Arabs and others including Egyptians, Bosnians, Syrians, Lebanese and others from adjacent lands took place in the 1930s and 1940s, drawn by the employment opportunities created by Jewish immigration and development of the land. The general impression given in the media is that Palestinians have lived in the Holy Land for hundreds, if not thousands of years.

There was never a people called Palestinians. However, so many have been propagandized into thinking that prior to the establishment of the State of Israel an independent Arab Palestinian state existed in its place. In fact, no independent Arab state ever existed in the geographic area Arabs call Palestine. Nor was there ever, throughout human history, a country called Palestine. The last independent state to exist in the region, prior to the establishment of the modern State of Israel in 1948, was the ancient Jewish State of Judea, 2000 years ago.

"Palestinians" have never been a distinct people and they have never had a sovereign land called Palestine. Jerusalem has never been their capital, there is no Palestinian language or culture, and there is no Palestinian people. The term “Palestinian” was created after the Jews liberated Jerusalem in 1967. Before the birth of the State of Israel, Arab leaders themselves denied the existence of an Arab country called Palestine.

The boundaries of most Middle East countries were arbitrarily fixed by the Western powers after Turkey was defeated in World War I and the French and British mandates were set up. The areas allotted to Israel under the UN Partition Plan had all been under the control of the Ottomans, who had ruled Palestine from 1517 until 1917. When Turkey was defeated in World War I, the French took over the area now known as Lebanon and Syria. The British assumed control of Palestine and Iraq. In 1926, the borders were redrawn and Lebanon was separated from Syria and Iraq was separated into two countries, Iraq and Kuwait. Britain installed the Emir Faisal, who had been deposed by the French in Syria, as ruler of the new kingdom of Iraq. In 1922, the British created the emirate of Transjordan, which incorporated all of Palestine east of the Jordan River. This was done so that the Emir Abdullah, whose family had been defeated in tribal warfare in the Arabian Peninsula, would have a kingdom to rule. None of the countries that border Israel became independent until the 20th century. Many other Arab nations became independent after Israel.

Arabs living in Israel, the only democracy in the region, have rights including the right to vote. The Arab nations have never accepted Israel and have waged several wars against her. Israel has always wanted peace with the Arabs and has offered on numerous occasions to trade land for a Palestinian homeland for the promise of peace. After each peace agreement where Israel gave up something tangible terrorism against Israeli civilians continued.

Israeli
And yet the dumbazzes in Hamas continue to assault Israel with rocket, mortar and terrorist attacks. You keep poking even the gentlest dog with a stick long enough and it will bite you in the azz.

Hamas is well known for basing their attacks and operations in civilian areas and in peoples houses so when Israel does strike back in self-defense, they can point their fingers and shriek through their spittle-covered beards that Israel is targeting civilians.

Hamas are pigs and cowards and need to be rooted out and destroyed to the last.

Leave it to the loons here to support their deliberate murdering of civilians whilst condemning Israel for accidental civilian deaths in the course of self-defense.
