What did the $16 trillion dollars that Bush and Obama spend buy us. In no particular order:
1) Bombed out cities in Iraq and Afghanistan and hundreds of thousands in lost lives and injured people.
2) A wealthier top 1% of our society that now owns over 40% of America (up from 20%).
3) Hundreds of thousands of part-time and temporary jobs which do not pay enough to live and have no benefits (e.g. health benefits)
4) A healthcare plan that soaks up more than 20% of our GNP (compared to 12% in other developed countries) with no discernible additional benefits other than forcing the poorest people to help pay for the ever increasing costs of healthcare in the U.S.
5) A lower class that has no new job opportunities to look forward to, and education system which is soaking the middle class and leaving it deeper in debt, and an upper class that is buying up islands, oil and farm properties, stashing their money overseas so that they will not have to wither the storm of the Federal Reserve devaluation of American wealth.
In sum: A lower class with no hope, a vanishing middle class as they have to pay for the $16 trillion in wasted dollars, and a very healthy and wealthy top 1% that pretty much owns what is worth owning along with the top 1% in China, Germany, Japan, Russia, and Brazil. Was it worth $16 trillion to make the rich richer, the poor poorer, and demolishing the middle class? I guess Bush, Obama, and Bernanke would answer in the affirmative. They keep doing it.
