Was just reading some of "Obama's" tweets today, and thought how weird it is that our President is now tweeting. Just curious on what some of your thoughts are on this almost celebrity-status some of these figures are heading toward? That includes talk show appearances, etc. Do you think it takes away from the "authoritative" or untouchable sort of impression the leader of our country (and other non-entertainment figures as well) should be giving, or does it put them more in touch with the "little people"?

I doubt he is actually typing. Maybe verbally dictating.

Some people probably also thought it was weird when Presidents started having conversations on that new fangled invention called the telephone. I see nothing wrong with the President using twitter, things change over time.

I don't expect a modern President to use a telegraph or read news off of ticker tapes.
