The rich who have amassed enough to live for the rest of their lives don't need to worry about the future. But if they are generous spirited they will invest in new business opportunities.
But taxing and regulations which prohibit new investment only discourage it.
Look at Hostess. Papa John's. I'm sure the owners/CEO's of both companies are not going to suffer. The only people suffering are the people they employ. People who could lose jobs. Or lose medical benefits.
Rich liberals probably love this kind of thing. Money and wealth are their only source of fulfillment. So they would naturally approve of any policies which would suppress others from getting to their level.
(Think Nancy Pelosi, etc.)
