LOL, sounds like he's benefitting a bit to much off of Obama caring about his employees.

My personal wish-list for solution to the issue will be:
Do not send a penny more than what is collected from that state for Medicare because the state government refused to accept the law, let those affected take their grievances to the state.
Do not support the state’s Medicaid system, let those affected take their grievance to the state.
Send the state a bill to pay for any additional payment made by the federal government to cover ER non-payments in that state (or simply kick state(s) that refuse out of EMTLA.

As for the nuttiness being celebrated (again) by right wingers... I am sure he has always provided health care, higher wages and never increased prices. But, if he/she is raising prices to pay for health care of his employees, we should ensure that it is where the money goes.

Do you understand what it means to be an entrepreneur?

A company is in business to make money, not loose money. This is where Adam Smith teachings come in.
There should be limited government in business.

This will go down as one of the dumbest business decisions since Coca-Cola decided to introduce a New Coke. Inviting a boycott by a majority of voters? Brilliant!

Little behind on the news there:

"Florida Governor Rick Scott, one of the most outspoken critics of President Obama's health care law, signaled Tuesday that he may be ready to drop his longstanding opposition to Obamacare.

In an interview with the Associated Press, the Republican said that he is willing to negotiate with the federal government on implementing the new program."

Rick Scott Signals Willingness To Negotiate On Health Care Law

As for the rest, the feds don't have to "invade every state." They will just set up the exchanges themselves leaving the states out of it. No idea why any state would think ceding control to the feds would be the better solution, but, it is their choice.

As for the OP, more grandstanding from sore losers.
Whatever.

Great way to lose more customers. Getting political in the bluest part of the state. Brilliant.

Hopefully this will raise sales in Kentucky and Alabama.

When is the left gonna stop crying....stop being pissed that obama flat out lied to you....along with pelosi....

Did the left ever think that these business owners DID read this law? Unlike the idiots that passed it? And that is why they are doing things like this?

Oh, wait....now here comes the "the business owners are doing it because they HATE obama" barrage of insults from the tolerant left....

Default Breaking News: Denny's Invokes 5% Surcharge On Products And Cuts Employment Hours......All Because Of Obamacare

The epidemic continues. This is a travesty affecting businesses everywhere across the nation. Now Denny's is being hit with Obamacare. People working there are now going to have to pay the price and have their hours cut. They are going to be put into a bind. Denny's is going to be put into a bind. This is terrible.

Denny's to charge 5% 'Obamacare surcharge' and cut employee hours to deal with cost of legislation | Mail Online

Florida based restaurant boss John Metz, who runs approximately 40 Denny's and owns the Hurricane Grill & Wings franchise has decided to offset that by adding a five percent surcharge to customers' bills and will reduce his employees' hours.

With Obamacare due to be fully implemented in January 2014, Metz has justified his move by claiming it is 'the only alternative. I've got to pass on the cost to the customer.'

The fast-food business owner is set to hold meetings at his restaurants in December where he will tell employees, 'that because of Obamacare, we are going to be cutting front-of-the-house employees to under 30 hours, effective immediately.'

I work for a group that owns about 90 fast food restaurants across the country. Obamacare could bankrupt them. They have over 4000 employees, half which aren't offered health insurance. They have until April to reduce everyone to 30hrs or less. They have been scrapping by the last 5 years. No margins in dollar menu items, which is now the bulk of their business as everyone wants cheap food.

Meetings with consultants have been begun and a plan will be in place soon. I'm sure we aren't the only ones doing this. Going to suck for the hourly employee who is easily replaceable with a part timer.
