What would Charles Dickens do with this one? Many interesting social parallels.

Quality of life, and protection of workers are worth more than money. Money is not everything in life, stop being a money $$$$$$$ lover. Yes, you do need money to live and survive, but enough!

I agree with you 100%. If it was all about money, you wouldn't be working in retail. But you joined retail in order to carry out your passion to provide customers with the best shopping experience, right? It's actually a very innovative field. The customer shopping experience on black friday has a lot of room for improvement. I'd imagine that someone in retail would jump at an opportunity to work on a night like this to make advancements in the field and learn more about the problems that exist.

Yes, we need a law for mandating them being closed, and pay their employees for being off.
Here's an idea: why don't you run for office on that platform?

But,but....if they're forced to work, they won't be able to join the shopping crowd and get any of those great deals!

Thanksgiving is not a Christian holiday. I also said "Reduced hours on all other holidays", which means for Labor Day, Memorial Day, President's Day, Independence Day - all secular holidays.

So what's up with your point?
