Dems are little more than gangsters. Willing to hold their American economy hostage if they don't get their way.

Democrats threaten to go over ‘fiscal cliff’ if GOP fails to raise taxes - The Washington Post
Quote:
Democrats are making increasingly explicit threats about their willingness to let nearly $600 billion worth of tax hikes and spending cuts take effect in January unless Republicans drop their opposition to higher taxes for the nation’s wealthiest households.

Emboldened by signs that GOP resistance to new taxes may be weakening, senior Democrats say they are prepared to weather a fiscal event that could plunge the nation back into recession if the new year arrives without an acceptable compromise.

In a speech Monday, Sen. Patty Murray (Wash.), the Senate’s No. 4 Democrat and the leader of the caucus’s campaign arm, plans to make the clearest case yet for going over what some have called the “fiscal cliff.”

“If we can’t get a good deal, a balanced deal that calls on the wealthy to pay their fair share, then I will absolutely continue this debate into 2013,” Murray plans to say, according to excerpts of the speech provided to The Washington Post.
Can someone on the Left quantify, "fair share"? What percentage constitutes a fair share, 100%?

Glad the dems are finally growing spines and daring the GOP to risk voting against middle class tax cuts to protect the rich.

I think we're ready over the cliff. Too late for that.

One poster what the fair share should be. I would love to hear the answer to that. Doesn't the wealthy already pay taxes?

I'd rather see those that don't pay anything begin to pay something. I'd rather see job creation so they can pay something. Let tax users become tax payers. What a concept.

And that's what the reality is. Republican gangsters are attempting to hold the middle class hostage so their bribing paymasters can get even more ill gotten gains. Virtually none of them are "job creaters" either as every independent analysis has proven.

But, hey, as long as more corporate raiders like Romney make millions out of destroying American businesses then everything is ok, right?

Obamacare is the largest tax in American history.

This you call a tax cut?

Also, if you decide to avoid the tax by purchasing a required insurance policy, how much is that going to cost the average middle class American?

I'd call that bluff in a heartbeat.

It would be the death of the Progressive politics in the USA.

So, 2 leftist hate mongering posts....how about answer the OPs question? Or can you not answer the question because their is NO answer from the left....

Here is the daily leftist memo:

1. Talk about everything thing except obama
2. If obama is brought up, talk about Romney (bain)
3. Republican protect the rich, no matter what dishonest lie you have to use
4. Bush, it's all about Bush

Anyone else care to add to the leftist daily memo....

History has played out over and over. When Government is in the citizens pockets, we go into recession and then depression, with only the chosen prospering. When the government gets out of our pockets, the economy picks up and prosperity is spread around.

That is not exactly what happend this time. It was more like the opposite. Our taxes have been very low for a long time, and the economy crashed and burned in 2008, and it has still not fully recovered.
