You mean stirring up the mob like this thread is trying to do? All those evil evangelicals running around who then become right wing kooks who then become all republicans in the mind of you lunatics? That what you mean? LOL

Yes, this thread does preach to a mob doesn't it? I can see the slathering of the crowd already.
You know what, when you're ready to have an adult conversation which includes you having any real education on the subject minus the nasty remarks, let me know. Until that time, why don't you peddle it elsewhere. I'm not in the mood to teach today.
You think your teaching something? Your teaching hate is all your teaching. Your a hypocrite of the highest order.
Telling the truth about the role of American evangelicals in promoting anti-gay hysteria in Uganda is not "teaching hate." It's "telling the truth." Apparently you can't tell the difference.
My own religion. I haven't been to church since 3rd grade. Nice try but fail. I can see BS a mile away though and the steam was coming from this one from the time I read the title.
David wasn't actually the maker but he was the lead in the film and in the fight for equality. I note this only because the women put so much of themselves into it they deserve recognition too.
I didn't know him either but by the time you watch the film and listen to his films you feel like you do. It is sad that your friend can't go home. The truth is, I'm surprised so many stay and fight. I'm not sure I would. They have to fear going out and now staying home. Those that can often move in the middle of the night to a new home or neighborhood every so often out of fear their current neighbors are suspicious and may report them. The situation borders on madness.
There are many ways to protest and or bring about change.
While we lived there we heard plenty of stories, but I never witnessed anything myself. Lots of American evangelicals and I stay as far away from them as I can. Heard stories about what happened to gays that lived there. Quite a few gay volunteers but nothing happened to them even though they didn't hide that fact.
We'll be visiting in less than 2 months - mainly to see our Ugandan friends. Watched a BBC programme about what it's like to be gay in Uganda and the attitudes of those who hate them. Makes me sad. I can't change it and it would be pointless to bring up the topic while we are there. It's up to the educated younger generation of Ugandans to convince the country of the truth.
Yea, American evangelicals are completely innocent....
I posted links upthread too, he's not a big fan of truth/facts/reading apparently.
