It's actually a recurring theme among all administrations since administrations are generally made of people. It's why they passed that proposition in the first place. If you want to take a look, I actually posted a link to the actual report.

So you are OK with government officials not paying their taxes?

You see this is why Democrats are so eager to raise taxes, they don’t pay them anyway!

36 Obama aides owe $833,970 in back taxes – media silent : Fire Andrea Mitchell!

Maybe we need a new law that says you cannot hold an elective office or get a paycheck from the government if you owe any past due taxes.

They want enormous taxes for working Americans but view themselves as too special to have to pay taxes.

Fellas, I posted the actual report and from there are listings for how to tease out more primary information. You guys need to learn how to look at primary sources because it is fairly easy to selectively pick out bits and then put them in whatever framework someone wants. It is important to understand statistics and methodologies behind how people generate statistics. This is a non-negotiable and a strong reason for why the US has gone down the tubes is because we lack fundamental mathematical and analytical capabilities as a whole. Our PISA scores are a complete mess for what is supposedly one of the wealthiest countries in the world.

We hold everyone's hands and find it acceptable if people just aren't good at math so let them go on bungling it--as if people are going to be good at math right from the get go. We have an entire adult populations who have a hard time understanding or flat out push refuse to accept some fundamental mathematical and scientific principles. It's amazing that our graduate level science and engineering departments are filled with students and faculty from other countries because they are simply better at either the fundamentals of the field or more active in pursuing their enquiries. And yet our country is full of people who will pounce on some basic misinterpretations of fact and are either too lazy or too dull to try to analyze the primary sources but are perfectly willing to stand by blanket statements and defend them tooth and nail.

Let me get this straight. The left is saying that it's OK that democrats don't pay their taxes, and they use the excuse that there are some on the right aren't paying their taxes either. So, on the whole, it's OK all around.

Except for Joe the constituent, of course.

Who pays these aides? If it is a government job they should be fired for having unpaid taxes.

I am wondering if there is a record of this somewhere. How do you discover that someone does not pay the IRS? If there is a record and this is public knowledge this needs to be brought before congress. Things like this need to be stopped and certainly a law put forth that would prevent them from getting any more of public money when they don't pay up themselves.
