I've seen one or two in my time fly off the handle when their item didn't qualify.
You'd think the cashier was randomly picking items and personally denying them.

These types of folks would go postal right there and then. Hopefully they are the edge cases.

No no no. CORPORATE WELFARE is bajillions of dollars in annual handouts to CORPORATIONS, not people. It's the Republicans who insist on this unneeded welfare to corporate entities like Exxon, etc. And thanks to them, corporations have free speech as if they were individual people....i.e., they cannot be restricted from promoting their collective views.

During the Great Depression FDR was amazed that we did not have riots in the streets. I think those Americans were much tougher breed than most Americans are now.

A lot of veterans are on government assistance and should not be begrudged that legitimate assistance. And there are millions of families who have lost jobs, and they have children they are obliged to feed. They are not the natural moochers, so let's not confuse the two kinds.

JPMorgan made over $5 billion in profit from processing the EBT cards.
They have an entire division just to handle government electronic payments.

That is corporate welfare.
