The Gaza strip is from 3.7 to 7.5 miles wide and about 25 miles long. The Palestinians are being bombarded from the air, the ground, and the sea. All borders are closed to them. They are trapped.
IT IS WAR CRIMES WHAT ISRAEL IS DOING! By supporting Israel the U.S. is supporting the slaughter of innocent women and children. It is reprehensible.

When you attack from a densely populated area you are in fact using the populace for a shield. You either bank on the other side using restraint in respect for the innocents or you are banking that the other side will lay down a slaughter and you can use it for propaganda. In effect you are using the masses as a shield.
North Vietnam did the same thing against us and with great success. It creates the damned if you do and damned if you don't scenario. Storing all those surface to air missiles in down town Hanoi was done to protect them from our bombers.

If Hamas is concerned about the women and children then let them stage their attack from locations that would minimize the chance of collateral damage. They will never do that. Regardless of Israel's sins, Hamas doesn't deserve a free pass for what they are doing.

That's the whole point of the article. It analyzes the totally illogical "mindspeak" that Israel is using to justify the slaughter of innocent civilians and children. It describes how Israel legitimizes killing civilians because Hamas is supposedly using them as "human shields."...therefore Israel can justify their deaths as "collatoral damage."
The truth is the residents of Gaza have nowhere to go. They are being bombarded from the sky, the sea, and land---on an area of land that is about 4 to 7.5 miles wide and 25 miles wide.
You missed the point. The article is clearly designed for readers to reach the above conclusion, which is illogical. The entire piece is illogical, and the non-objective reader will be manipulated along in the desired fashion. It's very clever, and you fell for the propaganda.

If Israel succeeds in destroying Hamas with this onslaught, then it will only leave a vacuum for a far more radical group to rise to power. I can't imagine anything more radicalizing than being attacked by air, land and sea for 11 days, and having your family members and friends being killed.

Why don't go research the suicide bombings on Israelis and count the amount of actual children that were killed. You want to play with numbers, then lets play. This is the Middle East which has its own rules of engagement so stop using American rules for it.
