This woman works for a non-profit that helps adults with disabilities live independently, so she certainly isn't all bad. But I just don't get what prompts people to do such stupid things and then, to top it off, post proof of that stupidity on Facebook for all to see.
"A photo of a Massachusetts woman flashing her middle finger at Arlington National Cemetery has sparked widespread disgust across the web and prompted an online petition to get the woman fired from her job. Lindsey Stone posted the picture of herself making the obscene gesture at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, next to a sign at the military cemetery that asks for 'Silence and Respect,' in October and the snapshot quickly went viral."
And now a FB site has been created with the one and only purpose to get this woman fired because of the picture.
She's only sorry for the backlash, not for the photo. She should move to Berkeley, San Francisco, Seattle, or Portland. They'll support the message her photo sends to military veterans.
Lose her job? Maybe if it's one that absolutely requires discretion, brains and sensitivity to people you may not like.
Other than that, no she should not lose her job if she was on her own time.
Some people can't help but being totally crude, insensitive a**holes and they need to make a living too.
People need to learn they have an impact on their boss and company when they post on facebook. No one wants be involved with and have an employee that is so ignorant. People lose their jobs over these things and compnies have every right to fire them.
People have no lives....they're either so dissatisfied with their own that the only joy they can muster comes from messing with other people's..or..they're so bored that this is a form of entertainment to them..
With so many things to do, you'd think people'd be doing them.
Totally disrespectful. I don't know for sure that it's a reason to fire her, but if I were her boss I would be asking some serious questions about this persons ability to reason. I would have probably already found a reason to fire a moron like that.
I find nothing extraordinary about this act of idiocy. I have better things to do than ***** to her employers or Facebook stalk her over it.
