And you believe that the President should be your religious/spiritual leader.

Most people don't , they have religious leaders who are their religious leaders.....

Thanks for the link and yes it was a good speech.

Maybe they just pretend they have religious leaders....

I wonder if the people who have these arguments circling in their heads ever realize how convoluted their talk is.

I just had Thanksgiving dinner with my family and god had nothing to do with it. We don't believe in your stupid, cruel, vengeful, arbitrary god. This country was founded on the separation of church and state and that's the way I like it. If Obama left out god, (and I don't know if he did) I'm glad of it. It has no place in government. If he mentioned god, then so be it, but I hope he didn't. We don't all have the same beliefs, and that's as it should be. god or no god, has nothing to do with it. If you believe in the USA, then you must respect that we all are of different faiths or no faiths at all. Quit your whining and let the rest of of us live as we choose to.

Wow, a jump to a conclusion.......how predictable.

There are ways a country's leader can make a speech that would be for all people of all faiths.

And unfortunately, Valerie Jarrett doesn't know how to write such a speech and put it on the 'prompter.

Sounds like whining to me, and doesn't sound like a willingness to let others live as they choose to, nor speak freely either.

This is a plank. This is a plank in your eye. Any questions?
